All health and workout data stays on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal health information. Your HealthKit data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising. We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking pixels.

2. Data that stays on your device
The following data is stored locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch and is never transmitted to our servers:
Apple HealthKit data
VO2 Plan reads your VO2 max history, heart rate during workouts, and workout records from Apple HealthKit. When you complete a guided workout, the app saves a workout record back to HealthKit so it appears in Apple Fitness and counts toward your Activity Rings. This data exchange happens entirely on your device through Apple's HealthKit framework.
We do not sell, share, or transfer your HealthKit data to any third party. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes. This is both our policy and an Apple requirement for all apps that access HealthKit.
App preferences and progress
Your fitness level selection, training plan progress, exercise type preferences, and app settings are stored locally on your device. This data does not leave your device.
3. Data we do collect
Waitlist email (website only)
If you join our waitlist on vo2plan.com, we collect your email address. This is stored in a hosted database service and used solely to notify you when VO2 Plan launches. We do not share your email with third parties. You can request removal at any time by emailing hello@vo2plan.com.
Subscription status
If you subscribe to VO2 Plan Premium, your purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We use a third-party service to manage subscription status. This service receives only an anonymous subscriber identifier and purchase status — it does not receive your name, email, health data, or any personally identifying information. Apple handles all payment processing, billing, and refunds.
4. What we don't do
We want to be explicit about what VO2 Plan does not do:
We do not use analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Firebase Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude). We do not use advertising frameworks or ad networks. We do not use tracking pixels or fingerprinting. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with data brokers. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not track your location. We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
5. Third-party services
VO2 Plan uses a small number of third-party services, each with a limited and specific role:
Apple HealthKit
On-device health data framework. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Subscription Management Provider
We use a third-party service to manage subscription status. This service receives only an anonymous subscriber identifier and purchase status — it does not receive your name, email, health data, or any personally identifying information. Apple handles all payment processing. Details about our subscription provider's data practices are available upon request at hello@vo2plan.com.
Waitlist Database
Waitlist email addresses submitted on our website are stored in a hosted database service. This data is used solely to notify you when VO2 Plan launches and is not shared with third parties. Details about our database provider's data practices are available upon request at hello@vo2plan.com.
Website Hosting
Our website is served by a third-party hosting provider. Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be collected by the hosting infrastructure. Details about our hosting provider's data practices are available upon request at hello@vo2plan.com.
6. Data retention and deletion
Health and workout data stored on your device is under your control. You can delete the app at any time, which removes all locally stored app data. HealthKit data you've saved (such as workout records) remains in Apple Health until you delete it there.
Waitlist emails are retained until you request removal or until we no longer need them. To request deletion of your email, contact hello@vo2plan.com.
7. Children's privacy
VO2 Plan is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you through the app.
